THE SEVEN POINT AGENDA AND VISION 20;2020
Dear Readers,
THE SEVEN POINT AGENDA AND VISION 20;2020
Having completed the introductory series of the 7 Point Agenda and its Key Elements, our next undertaking is to review the 2010 appropriation act vis-a-vis its policy direction, implementation strategies, the role of the key elements as the template for implementing the 7 Point Agenda and meeting the goals set out for vision 20;20020.
Our team will monitor the provisions of the 2010 appropriation act and provide insightful analysis in a format that will make it possible for " ordinary Nigerians" to appreciate , while not disregarding the perspectives objectives. Our goal is to provide enough information about the budget to enable Nigerians of all walks of life take ownership of the processes and mechanisms of its successful implementation.
We must embrace individual responsibility and leave behind the mindset that government can and must "do it all". Government on one hand must make efforts to make more information regarding it's policies and objectives available in the public domain.
Knowledge is power!

6th Key Element of The 7 Point Agenda - National Security and Intelligence
6. National Security and intelligence
There can be no meaningful development in an atmosphere of rancor and insecurity. As a result, this government will place high priority to security of life and property. It is committed to creating a central Directorate of Intelligence and encouraging higher levels of neighborhood policing – to curb crime rate-. Police stations will now be equipped with networked computers and a central computerized fingerprinting records system put in place. The general welfare and conditions of service of the men and officers’ of the force will be improved so as to boost morale, engender commitment and discourage corruption within the force. Security of life and property represents one of the most important constitutional duties of any Government. Security, law and order are the foundation on which the successes of all government initiatives towards good governance are anchored. The authority of government over the people can be legitimized and sustained only to the extent that it guarantees the security of their lives and properties.
